• International was founded in 1976.
• Kern County Affiliate was founded in 1991.
• Our first home was completed in 1992.

How did Habitat begin?

Millard Fuller was a very successful attorney in Georgia who felt it was a shame that a working family in the richest country in the world couldn’t afford to own a home. He and his wife Linda sold everything and started Habitat for Humanity.

How many homes has Habitat Golden Empire built?

We have built 45 homes and housed over 150 children in Kern County.
